Tegomasu is just my FAVORITE. I do LIKE other people too… lol~<3

Best complete single:

Tegomasu’s Tanabata Matsuri. The album covers are gorgeous, I think, both boys look absolutely stunning, and when it comes to all the tracks… it’s proof that they have really adaptable voices no matter what song they’re singing. Overall, it’s a really solid single.

Best complete album:

Tegomasu no Uta, definitely. Two of my favorite songs ever are on it and I’m not going to name them here since they’re more fitting for a different category. I just really like how this album flows- a nice balance between fast and slow songs, and they sound awesome in each one. There is one or two weak tracks that I skip whenever they come on, but one or two is a great comprimise for the rest of the album~

Best single A-side:

Definitely Believe by Arashi. Its so catchy and they all sound great. It’s the song that sealed the deal to becoming an Arashi fan for me, so it’ll always have a special place.

Best single B-side:

NEWS- Share (Live at Tokyo Dome) – as a predominantly NEWS fan I find this song really touching, since they wrote it together as a group. Even though they were all pretty late with their lyrics I think they managed to write an absolutely beautiful song~

Special mention to Hanamuke. What’s a category if I don’t include Tegomasu? The song is so cute and so sad at the same time, and they sing it really well.

Best album track:

Tegomasu’s  Kataomoi no Chiisana Koi and Shikisai. Both absolutely fantastic songs, sung really well. I haven’t stopped listening to them since the album came out.

Best Concert DVD:

Well honestly, the only one I actually watched was NEWS WPD. I think it was a great concert, lots of color, and when it comes to it, for NEWS the live performances were pretty solid. And, the documentary was so cute! They’ll never be able to repeat the N.E.W.S documentary but this one was a worthy contender~

Best special release:

Probably BANDAGE by Jin. I don’t really like him all that much but I think this song is fantastic, a really great use of his uh…. what do I call it? Whine? The MV is really cool, too.  

Best Drama:

A tie between orthros no inu and MR. BRAIN. I couldn’t choose between them if you killed me.

Best Decision:

GIVING TEGOMASU A TOUR, OF COURSE. It makes me happy because its proof that Tegomasu is here to stay and aaaaaslkjf <3 they both seemed so happy about it!

Also, props for pushing HSJ off a cliff. I mean, I really like them, and I’m glad  that they’re doing tours but their singles SUCK so its nice that we dont have to feel obliged to buy a single, yknow?

Worst Decision:

I feel like I should jump on the bandwagon and say EW EW EW NYC boys but I didn’t care about them enough to even look, so I’ll stick with sounding like a butthurt fangirl and say…

letting NEWS perform NEWS songs at countdown with Ryo not technically there with them. They should have had some kind of medley with tegomass performing a single, yamapi doing that loveless shit and koyashige covering some T&T song or something.

I’m not mad that he was with kanjani instead, because it was kind of a given, and it was really nice that he performed with them from kyocera… but… yeah

YEAH.

Every time someone with ugly hair in NEWS gets their hair fixed, someone else ruins theirs. I’m dreaming of a day when all six will have beautiful hair…

reccuring obsessions? I always listen to Renrui by Kinki Kids but I heard it for the first time this year so I dont think that counts.

Final thoughts:

This year wasn’t satisfying in the sense that I spent half of it hoping to hear about a new NEWS single but the news never came. I was really satisfied with the fact that the unit that got me into JE, Tegomasu, was given so much to do and it makes me really proud to see that they shined through the whole thing.

For 2010, I think NEWS should actually get a single and an album and a tour and would it be too much to ask for Tegomasu to get a second one, too? haha.
