5×10 Concert DVD announced! (Updated!)

Good news people! Arashi’s 5×10 Anniversary Tour DVD has been announced. Right now, the release date is set for April 7th, 2010, with only one version. The price is around USD$65 for two discs. Apparently the setlist for the concert includes every single since their debut single, A.Ra.Shi up until Everything, along with the song that they wrote for the fans, 5×10 and hidden track Attack It!. The content includes the August 29th Kokuritsu concert, a digest of the last Kokuritsu concert, and a digest of the 5 Dome Tour. Tracklist and buying links after the jump!

Caught in the Storm

Of all the people I would have thought would transfer into the Johnny’s fandom, Maize was probably the last I’d expect. After spending 8 years in the Hello! Project fandom, she has finally decided to step into the world of Johnny’s, of course, starting with Arashi. It’s always nice to see that new fans are being created, and I’m sure Maize’s blog will be a fantastic read as she indulges herself into this amazing new fandom. Please check it out!

Best of 2009-Johnny’s Style!

2009 has been an interesting year, to say the least. Lots of unexpected things happened, like NYC Boys, Tegomass’ first concert tour, Jin and Yamapi making solo debuts, Kanjani’s 3 consecutive singles, Arashi breaking a million and officially taking over Japan.

We’ve prepared lots of categories for you to give answers to, and now you don’t have to answer every one of them but it would be nice if you did. Remember, this isn’t a poll, so you can choose as many answers as you like for each question, and we’d love to hear your reasoning for why you chose each thing. Obviously, each category relates to releases in 2009, not any year previous to that.

You can put your answers into the comments section in this post, but it would be awesome if you posted them to your own blog/journal and then left us a link so we know where to find you!

The official Oricon list of the top ten most popular artists of 2009 is out, and Arashi isn’t #1. How shocking?! #5 is still great, though! Great work- you had a fabulous year!

Brilliant idea

Kamichan brings us a clip of Yamada, Hikaru and Chinen performing Arashi’s One Love on School Kakumei. They sound great and all, but hey guess what… Chinen’s hair! He turned this nice performance to a tribute to the 90’s, mm~

PV Series

Heeeeeeeee, this page kept me from going to class one day…. Suffice to say, I love the wit and snark coming from this page. Tey really has put a lot of effort into to screen-capping these PVs and letting loose what they have to say about each of the members in Arashi…

Oricon: best fashion sense

As expected, Johnny’s has taken the top three spots on Oricon’s most recent poll. I’m slightly surprised that Aiba’s there, but not because I don’t think he dresses well, just simply because I’ve never made the connection. Matsujun comes in at 9th, making 4 of the top 10 members of JE.

I’m honestly surprised–I expected that they’d reach 1 million but I doubted they’d go far over it, and a whole 200,000 more is absolutely amazing. I know that the success is riding off the fact that it’s a best of album, but it’s been a long time since an idol group has been able to do this, and so I hope they can continue with this streak in the future.
